FishGenePro – Fish Facility Management

FishGenePro was developed in close cooperation with Prof. Jochen Wittbrodt at the COS in Heidelberg. The cloud-based system serves as the main hub in the fish laboratory of research institutions and is designed for small ornamental fish such as zebra or medaka.

The core functions of the system are the management of all tanks and systems, taking into account and documenting the necessary work by the laboratory staff. The regulatory requirements for handling fish in the EU are met and corresponding reports are made available. The pedigree management with photos and plasmid maps in combination with barcode-assisted process editing reduces the maintenance effort considerably. The demo version can be made available on request.

The system is distributed worldwide by the CEM Corporation, HB Technologies AG is responsible for further development and customization.
