PhaSt - Active Ingredient Screening Translated
The implementation of screenings to determine the potency and efficiency of active ingredients for studies and development processes is associated with numerous manual and time-consuming work steps. In addition to the preparation and transfer of data from the experimental planning and the measurement data generation, this includes the quality control of the data, its evaluation using predetermined algorithms, as well as the measured value correction and, above all, the graphical data preparation for final reports.
This is where the PhaSt software comes in and efficiently supports the screening workflow for routine use in the screening laboratory. The workflow enables the evaluation of screening approaches in the range of a few to several thousand components within a few minutes. Both the layout formats of the assays and the mathematical evaluation methods can be configured. The system reduces manual working time by a factor of 2-4, freeing up valuable employee resources. In addition, no third-party software licenses are required for data evaluation and processing.
The software is based on state-of-the-art technologies from Microsoft (.NET with MS-SQL database) to provide a high-performance and flexible software architecture that meets all requirements. This also enables integration with upstream and downstream applications such as compound databases. The system is used by Phenex Pharmaceuticals AG in Heidelberg, and HB Technologies AG is responsible for its further development and support.
