Microsynth AG produces custom oligonucleotides. For twenty years, we have been supporting Microsynth in the automation and digitalization of its processes. A particular challenge is the seamless integration of complex laboratory equipment from various manufacturers, such as synthesizers, liquid handlers, and various analytical instruments.
Seamless and reliable interaction between all hardware and software components is essential to meeting the demands of rapidly growing production volumes.
Our Approach
Over the course of our long-standing partnership, we have gradually connected more and more components to our central laboratory automation software.
It now forms the core of a highly automated oligonucleotide production process.
The result
Microsynth now uses our software throughout its entire value chain – from order receipt to shipment of the finished product. Dedicated online stores ensure a secure and convenient ordering process.
Thanks to intelligent integration with the laboratory data system, orders are sent directly to production once they are approved.

Established!
For more than 25 years, we have been developing, integrating, and supporting the BioLane software. A new, modernized version will be released in Q4 2025. By Q3 2026, BioLane will be GMP-compliant and will include user management, an audit trail, and other features required under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). This will ensure that our standard solution for the production workflow of individual biomolecules is ready for the future!
BioLane forms the core of the digital production platform for many of our customers and guides users through the entire production process. The degree of integration varies according to customer requirements: it can encompass individual hardware and software components or the entire value chain—from order receipt to shipment of the finished product.
For over 25 years, Microsynth has had a reliable partner in HB Technologies. Their software forms the core of our highly automated production process. Over time, requirements have continued to grow due to a sharp increase in production volumes, the integration of complex instruments, and ever-stricter regulatory standards.
